False Words, False Hopes

"Last month protesters took to the streets across the country to demand their universal rights, a government that is accountable to them and responsive to their aspirations." - Barack Obama

To all my liberal and moderate friends out there. Before you even consider voting for Barack Obama again - watch this video. Listen to his words. Is this really the person you want leading your country? Perhaps a better question might be: Is this really the person who is leading anything at all?

Don't look away - Watch the video.

What's your point? You want Obama or Clinton to call the NY Chief of Police and tell him to stand down? Maybe the President should send in the Marines and take the NY cops down a peg or two.
Yes, the President must be answerable for all government employees, city, state and federal.

My point or rather the point of the video as I see it, is that Obama's words are political rhetoric. Easy to mouth words of freedom for protesters in Egypt but when it comes to American citizens, those that put him into the Oval Office. Barack is silent.

His words - "Universal Human Rights"

I've got to say, I don't think those are false words or false hope. The only question is, what ACTIONS come of it.

If the President says something positive about the movement, take it... use that as an in to make common cause with his supporters. Look for friends, not enemies.

I agree with you there. I'm not a big fan of Obama. He's waiting for the movement to attain sufficient momentum before taking a position. He likes to "lead from behind."
